Christ In Pogo Fellowship Ministry

We all need the affirmation of others and thus our faith can be strengthened through the bonds of love, caring and fellowship that have developed through this ministry. Basic spiritual and human values are shared together and subsequent friendships develop. Thank You Father for our brothers and sisters!

Hi all,

I was wondering what happens to those people who haven't had a chance to learn about Jesus or to accept His wonderful gift for us?

Do they go to hell just because they live in a country where Jesus Christ isn't known?

I don't know why but I can't seem to get this question out of my mind.

Thanks for any information on this.

Hi all,

Tabitha (TABBYCATMELVIN) is in the hospital again.  I guess her blood sugars are really high again.  Her husband (Toad) told me this today.  He doesn't talk on the phone much so I don't know if there is anything else going on.  Please keep her in prayers.

Brian,
I've started sending out emails to all the distribution lists in an effort to get $1-$3 per person. It's been slow going getting it out because I'm having computer issues still but I will get it out to all lists eventually. I'm excited about First Baptist of Daytona Beach coming along side of CIP in this matter & I'm grateful that you are helping the situation also Bro.
     In HIS Love,
           Tom

Greetings!

I know its been a while since anyone has seen me post on the boards, but I have been busy for the Kingdom's sake, as well as for this ministry's. One thing I have observed is what Christ in Pogo has become from what it started out to be. In many ways it has held true to its original mission. We serve as a fellowship center for Christians who spend a bit of time online. For many, this is their only source of regular Christian fellowship as many of our members are shut in. We also serve as a base of operations, reaching out to those who also spend time on the internet (mainly on Pogo) with the Gospel of Christ. We reach a unique field, as many of the people we come in contact with are also disabled or shut-ins. Over the years, we have shared the gospel many times, seen people come to Christ, been able to follow through with them online, see that they come in contact with good churches, and are baptized. Most of us have several testimonies to share about this. We can see God's hand as He has placed us in a position to reach a unique, mostly unreached group of people.

With all this being said, we have had a tough time lately, particularly with our finances. Up until this year, the site was funded by donations, primarily from leadership. Over the course of time, the leaders have had to pass torches, have become disabled (as I have), or came on board already on disability. With many of the members being in the same boat, and with me asking that any donations be "post-tithe" (donating after giving to your local church), the billls were getting set to pile up on this ministry. Since we are at heart a missionary organization, reaching out to a people group, I asked some churches if they would be willing to support us. First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach has done just that. They have funded us to take care of bills for the next year, so that we can continue to be effective in our outreach. (Insert your personal version of "Praise the Lord" here.) This takes care of this year. Now, what I am asking is that those of you with home churches, if you have not done so yet, ask if they would be willing to partner with this ministry. Fortunately with an all volunteer staff, our needs are few, but if we are to be able to continue reaching our mission field, we will continue to need help in the future. Also, the more we can spread the need around, the more churches that will be blessed by giving to one more mission.

My prayers are that we will continue to reach more people for Christ, and that we continue to grow through serving Him.

In His service,
Brian

Well just dropping in to say hi. I sold my lap top computer and got a I Pad. I'm not on much due to a injury to my left shoulder. My rotator cuff is not working right, I'm not able to lift my left arm that much. I'm hoping since I got this I Pad I can come in again. I'm using it now sitting in my relinger with my feet up.  Lets's all keep in touch as much as we can.

Love ya all

Deanna

The Lord Himself is the source of hope because His character is unchanging, His love is steadfast, His promises will all come true, and His omnipotence determines our future! How wonderfully beautiful is this promise!!
