Last weekend my dad came over to our house he found something that he had given to my son a couple of Christmas's ago and picked it up. At first I was upset because I knew usually when my dad gave me things growing up he would take it back. Well he did take this item back that he gave to my son and I was thinking about it when all of a sudden God told me I need to forgive him. The Lord asked me how can I build you up spiritually if you dont forgive your father. I then said alright Lord I forgive him.
So I just want to thank God and praise God for all that hes doing in my life.

Praise be to God Donna!!

This must have been a huge obstacle for you!  Forgiveness is the key to having the perfect relationship with our awesome Father, and you've made an enormous step in the right direction Sis!  How strong you must be and what a wonderful example of Christian maturity and love you have shown your son!  God bless you in abundance Donna!

love,
Georgie

You took a big step Donna. Forgiving your dad I mean. Forgiveness is the stepping stone to victory over emotional strongholds.  It's hard to forgive someone that doesn't apologize. It takes a measure of faith and trust in God to do that. You aren't forgiving the Actions just the Actor. We as human beings act so foolish sometimes. We hurt people without even realizing it. I'm sure there is a lot more to your relationship with your dad but you are doing what God commands you to do. "Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you."  God bless you sister...you are right with the Lord.

love,

Prasie The Lord Donna,
What a great testimony that you gave to your son and family, You carried out just what God has commanded us to do in forgiveness, God forgave us, and we do have to forgive others.. What peace this has gave you for being able to listen and obey what God has taught you to do.
What a blessing this was for me to read your post, and I thank God for you, that you decerned His Spirit in guiding you what to do. Prasie the Lord !! And all for His glory !!

I am so joyful to see you hearing the Lord and obeying his word.  Forgiveness is for us.  When we do not forgive someone it does not hurt them, it hurts our relationship with God.  He says if we do not forgive others, he will not forgive us.  Wow.  I do not know anyone in my life that is worth God turning his back on me and not hearing my prayers.  When we put it all in perspective we see how easy it is to forgive and to bless those that hurt us because God says he will not let anyone touch his anointed .  He will defend us as we walk in the light.  With God on our side who can be against us.

God bless you Donna and may the joy and peace of the Lord reign in your heart and may the love of the Lord be seen in you as you seek to do his will in your life.

The Lord Himself is the source of hope because His character is unchanging, His love is steadfast, His promises will all come true, and His omnipotence determines our future! How wonderfully beautiful is this promise!!
