OK, time for next installment of my miracle stories.  This one is kind of two fold;  during one of my surgeries, I floated above the operating table, watching and listening to the surgeons working on me.  I saw myself on the table, heard my surgeon say, "God help me, I can't fix her on my own."  I then looked into the upper corner of the ceiling and watched a hole open up and heard a voice calling to me.  I followed the voice and found myself standing in a field of wildflowers.  The colors were so vibrant, they almost hurt my eyes, the aroma was so heady that I almost had a hard time catching my breath.  As I walked on a well traveld path, barefoot, the grass was so soft and it sprang back up (so how could I tell it was a well traveled path?  Your guess is as good as mine), and you couldn't see where I had stepped.  I heard the most beautiful harmonic music that I had ever heard in my life.  Off in the distance I could see the sky lit up so brightly, that if I looked right at it I was blinded.  As I was taking in the sights, sounds and the smells, and praying that I was fixing to see Jesus, a voice, right behind me, said, "It is not your time yet, you must go back."  Before I could even respond to that, I was slammed back into my body on the operating table.  I try to recall more of what I saw, because I know there is more, but am unable to.  I just remember the beauity, the aroma and the PEACE.  Heaven is real, I have seen it!!

Simply awe inspiring, beautiful....I can't find words to express how wonderful that must have been!  We're you upset to be brought back?  Did you hear any music...singing??  Did you see anyone?  All I have is questions!!  lol

I did hear music and singing Georgie, and as far a seeing anyone, no not really.  I saw a crowd of people quite a distance away, more like shadows, walking toward me.  But they never got close enough for me to see who they were.  Yes, I was upset that I did not get to stay, but I also had total peace upon waking up from the surgery.  I know that, I know that I know, that I know, there is a place in heaven waiting for me.

How wonderful Deb!

In this book I'm reading, "90 Minutes in Heaven", Don Piper is describing his time in Heaven in almost the same way.  I guess because he was there for a full 90 minutes, he had an opportunity to see more!  He also describes the brightness being as one our human eyes wouldn't be able to handle, and there were a lot of people that made their way to meet him outside the gates to Heaven...to welcome him, hug him, kiss him on the cheek or shake his hand, and he felt a happiness and peace he couldn't describe!  As he neared the gate to Heaven, he could hear the music, and many voices shouting "Glory to God", "Hallelujah", and "Praise God"!  He doesn't remember if he was walking or flying!  LOL  He remembers mostly the love of all the people meeting him to escort him into Heaven and the music and voices.  As he neared the gate to Heaven he saw why it is called the Pearly Gates.  Not because they are covered in pearls but because they looked like they were painted with a pearly, very shiny, finish!  He saw the roads paved in gold and could only explain it in his book by telling the reader to imagine gold bricks lay down to create a road.  The brightness, glow and shine was everywhere!  As he looked to the left and to the right, there was a wall around heaven that had no end and went on as far as he could see.  Just as he was about to step through the gates, he was no longer there, but back in the car where he had been proclaimed dead an hour and a half prior to him being in Heaven!

That book is on my "wish list"!  I so want to get my hands on it!  Georgie, you are so very welcome.  That is one story I will tell again and again.

Wow Deb!  What an awesome experience you had!  I can only imagine what Heaven must be like.  Please do share more of your stories, I do so thoroughly  enjoy reading them.

You have had the most awesome experiences. This one has to top them all!!! I simply can't imagine the joy you must have felt. I could talk to you for hours over what happened to you. Georgie I read that book too! I just went to look for it to send on to you Deb but I can't find it. I must have loaned it to someone. Sorry...

Oh boy Terri!  The way you described brain fuction with lily pads and winter windows, maybe you typed out your post and didn't hit 'Post'!    I've done that!!

that is such an awesome testimony. I believe that when things like that happen to us it is for us to share the experience with others so that they can have hope in Heaven.  Mary Baxter was there for many nights and she explains Heaven in a more in depth way too.  You can also just type her name in search bar and you can listen to her book online for free.  That is awesome.  I never get tired of listening to what God has shown his people to edify others.


I am glad God brought you back for all of us.  You are such a blessing.
