This was the poem that started my page on the teens page it was the first poem I had ever written. It was one of those times when Jesus put the words in my head.

I hope you like it.

The Real You

It was time for our night out
Was gonna show you what it was all about
I was sitting outside waiting for you
Watching the sky turn a dark blue
You came out and asked if you looked okay
So I told you what I had to say

I don't care about all the make up
I think it's time for you to wake up and show me the real you
I don't care about your clothes
Or if you painted your toes, just show me the real you
Now God told me not to judge from the outside but the beauty within
If I keep thinking of this I will surely win
Now girl I want you to look nice
But why does everything have to be so precise?

I don't want you to be like those girls who just want to rock
I want you to be that chip off the block
The only way to win my heart is to be God's superstar
So show me who you really are

The Lord Himself is the source of hope because His character is unchanging, His love is steadfast, His promises will all come true, and His omnipotence determines our future! How wonderfully beautiful is this promise!!
