Hello to all my Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I thought I would take a moment and let you know what is happening in my life right now. I am a full time student at University of Phoenix, getting my degree in Psychology. As of November 19th, I would have completed my first year of schooling. I am doing very well in school, pulling A's in my classes. This is so exciting to me, as I have never gotten A's before. The hard work is paying off. In July of 2013 I will have completed my Assoicate's degree and moving on to my Bachleors. I can not believe how my first year is going by so fast and having to be in school for 6 to 8 years, may go faster than I thought. I do not get much for breaks in school, except a week off for Christmas. Which is ok by me, that way my years in school may not seem so long that way. God is surely blessing me, and I know that without God's help I would be able to do all that I am doing. I have cut down my working hours, so that I can focus on my schooling. It does hurt a little in the pocket book, but I think that in the end it will pay off.
I know that I have not been here in a while, but have thought of you many of times. I do see some on pogo and I do stop in to say hi when I see you. I pray that the Lord is blessing you in many ways. I have also been learning sign language, which I really love and I help our Pastor sign songs during worship time. Our Pastor is adopting two African-American girls who are deaf and I wanted to be able to communicate with them personally and not rely on Pastor to always help me understand what they are saying. Both of these girls did not know sign language (ASL) when they first came, and communication was totally nonexistent. I could not imagine myself not being able to communicate to someone at all. So I thought that if these two girls has to learn so could I.
Please continue to pray for me and my family as it is hard times financially, and that God continues to bless me in my studies so that I will be able to help others, who may not have the light of Jesus in their hearts. It is my passion to give back to what was given to me, and many of the professionals in my area are supporting me and helping me along the way. This alone is a true blessing, and for them to see a gift that God has given me, is a sure delight. It is because of their encouragement that I am seeking this profession, as they saw what was in me first.
